Maria is a dedicated clinician with over 7 years of experience delivering compassionate, trauma-focused care across diverse clinical settings and levels of care. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University with specialized training in Trauma Therapy and Women’s Health.
Throughout her career, Maria has worked with individuals of various backgrounds and identities impacted by trauma and gender-based violence, providing supportive and culturally responsive care with complex emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs. In previous roles, she has particularly enjoyed the development of educational content and therapeutic group curriculums designed to promote emotional growth, skill-building, and a sense of belonging.
At Luna Recovery, Maria plays an active role in facilitating the evening programming, helping clients build emotional insight, learn and apply useful coping methods for a variety of needs, and make meaningful connections with others in the therapeutic setting. She is recognized for her engaging, person-centered, and didactic therapeutic style, combining evidence-based interventions, psychoeducation, and self-compassion to support lasting change.
Maria is passionate about empowering women through emotional growth, and holistic care that honors the lived experience in its entirety. She continually seeks innovative and creative approaches to strengthen clinical outcomes and foster a safe, supportive treatment environment.
Maria is fluent in Greek and Albanian and additionally speaks Spanish and French.
